Out of Iso Again! (Again!)
Intimate Spectacle and 107 Presents… Out of Iso Again! (Again!) for 107 on The Rocks
Out of Iso is back! (Again!) The team that brought you the best of Sydney’s independent contemporary performance makers through the pandemic returns, with Out of Iso Again! (Again!)
If you missed the season last December, now’s the time to catch these three joyful nights of performance in the heart of the city, bringing The Courtyard @ the Old Coroners Court to life… with nine or is it ten fabulous artists across performance, dance and music kicking off 107 on The Rocks.
Pioneers director Eliam Royalness, lights up the space with a dance piece jamming hip hop, vogue and Samoan Siva dance. Internationally acclaimed Compañia Pepa Molina’s “Las Flamenkas”, featuring dancers Ynez Campos & Amari Leiva Urzua bring flamenco into the 21st century.
Relive those Oscar night controversies, with theatre maker Moreblessing Maturure’s exploration of the constructed intimacy of public apologies. Mark Rogers’ auto-tuned opera, to celebrated techno producer Snowy’s soundtrack and videoscape opens a very weird portal. In a wolf mask.
Sign up for a one-on-one Filipina food date with Ate Indai, in Rosell Flatley’s interactive art piece Speed Date. Your host Nitin Vengurlekar takes you through the evening, hurling his pithy philosophical observations from high windows and storm water grates.
DJ Tropicante SoundSistema spins the tunes, blues belter and vaudeville vamp Christa Hughes takes the night by the scruff of the neck, and teenage sensation three piece band Polly close out the night.
